How We Show Up Together
With Curiosity & Courage
- Get comfortable in the uncomfortable - Learning means leaning into discomfort sometimes
- Call in, not call out - When someone says something without awareness, ask curious questions to understand rather than judge. We're all learning together, so let's give each other grace and space
- Stay open to new perspectives, recognising that everyone's lived experience is different
With Intentional Presence
- Speak from your own experience using "I" statements rather than generalising
- Listen to understand, not to respond - Prioritise deep listening over preparing your reply
- Take space, make space - Notice how much space you're taking up and when it's important for others to be heard
With Respect & Care
- Respect people's identities, pronouns, and names
- Be mindful that people communicate in different ways - some of us are more confident speakers, some need time to process
